Arnie Herz is an internationally recognized business lawyer, mediator and speaker. Whether it is as outside general counsel for small businesses dealing with a host of day-to-day business issues, as special counsel in highly complex disputes and transactions, or as trusted counsel for dozens of the top sports broadcasters and athletes in the world, Arnie brings over three decades of experience managing the disruption that often happens when emotions and legalities intersect.

Arnie’s work has been featured in a number of distinguished publications, including the Harvard Negotiation Law Review and the New York Law Journal. An article in the ABA Journal characterizes Arnie as “remarkably skilled at helping clients get past the emotions that distort their sense of what they really need.” In his popular blog, Legal Sanity, Arnie shares commentary, insights and information on bettering the business of law.

Arnie is a graduate of the University of Michigan (B.A. 1984) and the Fordham Law School (J.D. 1991). He began his career as a litigator with the international law firm Weil LLP. He then became a partner in a thriving Wall Street practice. In 2000, he started his own law firm and currently handles a range of matters for a diverse group of clients and industries.
